PHOTOGRAPH A SUPERMARKET ASAP
YOUR PHOTOGRAPH OF A NEARBY NEIGHBORHOOD SUPERMARKET MAY BE WORTH MILLIONS. THEN AGAIN, IT MAY NOT. The most EXPENSIVE photograph in the world though, is in fact a photo of a supermarket. 99 Cent II Dyptychon (a two piece photograph of a supermarket) was auctioned by Sotheby's in February 2007 for approximately 3.3 million. So, hang in there. However, don't count your chickens before they hatch. Your pic, masterpiece though it may be, is most likely not destined to be the next multi million dollar wonder. BISBEE TRIBUTE TO TED DEGRAZIA
Beginning on January 16th, Bisbee Arizona will be hosting a three month tribute to famed American artist Ted DeGrazia. DeGrazia resided in Bisbee in the 1930's & 1940's and managed the Lyric Theater owned by his then in-laws the Diamos family. The Muheim Heritage House, the DeGrazia Foundation and the Copper Queen Hotel are joining forces to present a three month long series of events - 'DeGrazia - The Bisbee Years'. Bizzart Gallery will be hosting a concurrent exhibit, a photo essay, 'DeGrazia Gallery in the Sun'. an Elkinsphotos - Larry Elkins Fine Art Photography event. The opening reception will be held January 16th - 6PM-9PM. Refreshments and entertainment will be provided. The show will hang for three months concurrent with the DeGrazia-Bisbee Years show at Muheim Heritage House. Larry Elkins elkinsphotos.com
